An independent, non-governmental, and non-profit cultural organization that creates platforms for critical reflection through the tools of cinema and contemporary art. The activities of ArsMediale are grounded in research, interdisciplinarity, and inclusivity. It aims to create alternatives to dominant regimes of visibility and bridge gaps in cultural representation, while simultaneously expanding the boundaries of media.

The projects adopt decolonial, anti-hegemonic, and intersectional feminist optics, incorporating research in the history of science, sociology, audiovisual anthropology, as well as archival and ethnographic studies. They are implemented in diverse formats, including exhibitions, experimental films, festivals, film programs, and lecture and discussion series.
